Rescue Diver Training Program
Rescue diver training and certification is one of our most intense certification courses. The training is all "hands on" and practiced in an open water setting. Recognizing a dangerous situation and taking the proper course of action if and when one should occur are the techniques taught in this course. Candidates for this course are taught self rescue, rescue of others in stress and distress, rescue with a flotation device, beach and surf rescue, gear and small item recovery, how to recognize potential diving hazards, underwater removal and recovery of gear, and a variation of search patterns used to recover personnel and property lost underwater.
Prerequisites
To enroll in an the Rescue Diver Training course with Guardian Professional Diving, one must:
-be at least 18 years of age
-have prior dive certification from a reputable association
-have at least 15 logged dives
-own their own personal complete set of SCUBA gear
-be at least 18 years of age

***The Bottom Line***
This course is not for the "faint of heart". Upon course completion you will be expected to properly tow people through water, use and hurl flotation devices, light and fire off marine flares, enter and exit in surf, and deal with stressed and distressed people in the water. Physical conditioning, swim tests, and CPR are part of this course. Certification is not guaranteed . We hold this course and title in high regards and do not take it lightly.
